On the night of December 31 to January 1, Palace Square became the main New Year’s venue in Saint Petersburg. Visitors were welcomed by multimedia installations and a light show, with TRIPHAD studio contributing to the development of the visual content.

Guard Corps Headquarters
New Year multimedia decorations brought the façade of the Guard Corps Headquarters to life, transporting viewers into a world of winter fairytales. As part of the project, we created two visual scenes.
“Gift Shop” transformed the familiar architectural ensemble into a Christmas wonder shop. Shop windows became portals to a world where childhood fantasies came alive, creating a tangible sense of celebration.
“The Carousel” projection mapping turned the building into a two-level attraction. The installation immersed viewers in the atmosphere of a winter fair, where light, movement, and music came together to evoke a festive mood.

Naked Eye
A Naked Eye LED installation became a focal point of the site. In the sequence, a classic Saint Petersburg tram transforms into a symbol of the New Year city. Decorated with garlands and fir branches, it appears to glide magically along frosty rails above the nighttime city, creating the illusion of flight. In the finale, the tram dramatically breaks beyond the screen’s boundaries — prompting viewers to instinctively step back, as for a moment it feels as if the tram is about to rush straight toward them.
